Vacancy: Production Manager Natural Stone

Are you a strong organizer with experience in production planning, personnel management and quality control? Do you have an eye for improvements and the drive to optimize processes? Then we are looking for you as Production Manager Natural Stone at Renier Natural Stone!

Your responsibilities

As a production manager, you will have a multi-faceted role with a focus on keeping production processes running smoothly, personnel management and logistics planning. Your duties include:

1. Personnel management and planning

• Prepare staff schedules and make adjustments as needed.
• Recruitment of new employees (in collaboration with VDAB and other partners).
• Supervise, coach and motivate the team.
• Ensure a good working atmosphere and optimal performance.

2. Production planning and process optimization

• Responsible for production planning with an eye for deadlines, efficiency and quality.
• Implement and manage a scheduling tool (as needed).
• Optimize machines and processes (e.g., maintenance and improvements to machines such as the Optidrive finishing robot).

3. Quality and safety

• Monitor and improve product quality according to established standards.
• Direct and monitor the prevention advisor and safety procedures (appoint new prevention advisor for the site).

4. Logistics and administration

• Coordinate logistics planning and follow up on transportation files to ensure timely scheduling of transportation.
• Manage personnel related administration, such as laundry and clothing management and repairs.

5. Specific projects

• Follow up on installation and maintenance projects, such as solar panels (limited follow-up and document management).
• Organize training through Constructiv and manage competency matrix.
• Apply for grants or subsidies for training and staff development.

Your profile

We are looking for an engaged and results-oriented leader who enjoys taking responsibility.

What do we expect from you?

• Experience in production and personnel management, preferably in a technical or industrial sector.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Technical understanding and the drive to optimize processes and machines.
• Knowledge of or affinity for safety and prevention (a Certified Prevention Advisor is a plus).
• A solution-oriented attitude and stress resistance.
• Experience with scheduling software or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of the natural stone industry is a plus, but by no means a requirement.
