Proper Care for Your Beautiful Natural Stone Floor
STEP 1: Start by cleaning your new natural stone floor with Lithofin MN Dirt Remover. This product effectively removes dirt and prepares the stone for further treatment.
STEP 2: Once the floor has completely dried, protect the surface by applying Lithofin VLEKSTOP >W<*. This impregnating agent makes the stone stain-resistant, making it more resistant to spills and other types of dirt. Note: Do not use on polished stone surfaces.
STEP 3: For long-lasting beauty, mop the floor regularly with Lithofin MN Maintenance Product for hardstone. This product nourishes the stone and helps preserve its natural appearance.
SHINE: Want to add some extra shine to your floor? Then mop it periodically with Lithofin MN Glans en Schoon. This not only gives it a radiant shine, but also strengthens the stone’s protective layer.
Cleaning
MN Dirt Remover
For safe, thorough, and quick cleaning of natural stone.
Effortlessly removes general dirt, greasy residue, floor care product residue, and polish.
It also removes light cement residue and construction debris from new natural stone floors such as marble, bluestone, and granite—provided they are scrubbed thoroughly.
Works effectively and quickly: apply the product undiluted or diluted, let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then rinse it off.
Protect
Protection >W<
For applying a water- and dirt-repellent (hydrophobic) coating to absorbent natural stone floors and facades.
Spread out any streaks and drips, and remove any excess impregnating agent after 10 minutes. Protect treated surfaces from water (rain) for 8 hours.
Note: For stain-prone floors, we recommend using Lithofin VLEKSTOP >W<. This treatment makes the surfaces not only water-repellent but also oil-repellent, providing excellent protection against stains.
Stain Stop >W<
For stain-resistant, easy-to-maintain natural stone. The best protection against stains.
Drying time: about 20–30 minutes, depending on the temperature and the surface.
The product will be fully cured within approximately 48 hours. Do not expose the surface to water or oil during this time.
StainStop Plus
Works just like Vlekstop >W<, but with added color depth.
Drying time: Most of the solvent evaporates within 2 hours. The flooring can be walked on after 12 hours. The impregnation reaches full effectiveness after 24–48 hours.

Lithofin MN Shine and Clean creates an easy-to-polish protective coating that not only refreshes the color but also keeps the floor clean longer and enhances its appearance.
MN Wash & Clean
Cleans and conditions while mopping. Suitable for rough, polished, and finely honed natural stone.

Removes deeply embedded wax, grease, and oil stains.

Outdoors, brown stains caused by iron-containing fertilizers can also be removed by rinsing them off or letting rain wash them away.
