Sanded blue
Miter Cut Option
By default, a miter cut is always 45°, either with an inside or outside angle. Other angles are possible; please specify this clearly in the "Comments" field (at checkout).

Option: finished side with continuous drip groove
If the top is visible, it’s best to finish the side as well. This means that the drip groove should continue along the side of the capstone. Think, for example, of the beginning or end of a row of capstones on a low wall. This method also allows you to bridge corners if desired. In this case, please provide us with all dimensions separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Belgian blue stone capstone used for?

A coping stone protects the top of a wall, parapet, or low garden wall from direct exposure to rain and gives the structure a finished top.

Yes. The length, width, and thickness can be adjusted to match the wall thickness, desired overhang, and joint spacing.

This is a flat design. The installation and any slight slope must be designed so that water does not pool on the stone.

If a capstone overhangs, a drip groove can help prevent water from running back toward the wall. Whether one is necessary depends on the chosen profile and the detailing.

Yes, natural stone gradually develops a patina when used outdoors and may become lighter in color or take on a more matte finish. This is a normal aging process and affects its natural appearance.
